Addison

Addison is smart, funny, polite, sweet, snuggly, and stubborn all packaged up in 4 year old form. We're pretty glad we get to hang out with her every day and be her parents.

 

She is super friendly and very social. We are always amazed how she makes everyone (especially adults) feel like her best friend. She loves talking to people and always asks them what their name is, if they have any kids or dogs (she LOVES dogs), what their favorite color is and where they live. Let's just say we've gotten to know a lot of people in grocery store lines because of her ;)

Addison's imagination miles long. She loves dressing up and pretending to be different characters. It's fun listening to her play in her playroom and hearing what she comes up with. I love helping her come up with costumes and I love that she thinks I can make anything (although occasionally I have to explain that I can't sew a wagon or a hot air balloon). The look on people's faces when we go to the store is priceless! She makes people smile every where she goes.

{Some Fun Stuff}

Addison joined our family through adoption. One question we get asked a lot is, "Does she know she is adopted?" Yes! Of course! Everyone else knows she was adopted so why should she know? We've always been very open with Addison. She knows that my tummy is broken so Heavenly Father sent her to her Birth Mom's tummy. We love when she asks questions about the day she was born. Her Birth Mom invited us to be at the hospital so we have been apart of Addison's life right from the start. We have a really cool relationship with her birth family. We visit when we can and love when the stop by our house. Addison was even a flower girl at her aunt's wedding. We think of them as another set of in-laws (or Addison's side of the family) and love having them in our lives.
